That´s how my journey through Lao, Cambodia and Thailand started.
Taking a domestic flight from Bangkok to Chiang Rai from there by bus crossing the Lao boarder near Houayxay. By slowboat in Houayxay down the mekong river, stopping for one night in Pakbeng where the journey by boat continues the next day along to Luang Prabang.
